Tintex Shipping & Stores FAQ



Last spring we set a new 'order minimum' for our online store. All of our old free shipping offers and/or flat-rate delivery fees are now discontinued. Now every purchase at our store gets free shipping, but the Canada order minimum is $59.50 and the USA order minimum is $79.50 (no delivery to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico). 

Orders under the new minimums will not be able to proceed after checkout. You will see an 'error message' about not being able to ship to your address if you try and checkout with too few items in your cart for your area. Yes, if you choose to increase the amount of items in your cart to fulfill the store order minimums, you will be able to checkout as usual.

Where do you ship Tintex?
Our online store ships Tintex products to Canada and the continental USA only. If you live outside of Canada or the continental USA our online store will not be able ship products to your address. At this time we do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. 


How long will my order take to get to my home in Canada or the USA?

Canadian orders ship in 2 or more business days from when they leave our Ontario warehouse. USA orders may have slightly longer times, but generaly orders should arrive in 7 business days.

Orders are shipped Monday - Friday (next business shipping day for holidays). Online orders are packed in the morning; orders placed in the late morning, afternoon or evening, are shipped out the next shipping day. 

I have a question about my order shipping status, what do I do? 
When you place an order from our online store, a confirmation email is sent to you. If you have questions about delivery times you can reply to that email, or send a new email with your order number. 

Does the online fabric dye store have free shipping?
Our store shipping has changed. Now each order gets free shipping. Flat rate S&H fees that were used for smaller orders and varied by province/state are no longer available. The special free shipping minimum for Ontario and Quebec has been removed.

Why is adding my phone number to the order important?
Purolator needs a valid phone number to reach you with; if you miss the delivery person they will need to call you (your order can be delayed and sent back to our warehouse if you omit your phone number). 

Can I pay extra to have my order delivered faster ex: 1-day delivery?

We don't offer 1-day shipping or additional S&H packages beyond standard Purolator delivery.  Online orders are packed at our warehouse Monday - Friday. Orders sent to the USA may take slightly longer than Canadian ones to arrive.

Can I pick-up my order at your warehouse?
All of our online store orders are shipped by Purolator; we do not offer pick-ups at this time.

What happens if I miss the delivery person?
Purolator ships our orders so basic shipping details are needed to ensure that your package is delivered. Always include your phone number, buzzer code and full shipping address. You can add a shipping note at checkout if more room is needed for specific instructions.

If your order hasn't arrived after a long period of time, it has been missed. If this has happened, you only have a few days to pick-up your order at Purolator's closest location. If your package is not claimed, it will be sent back to our warehouse. We will contact you about a refund or  may deliver again via standard Canada Post service. 

When an order is not deliverable on the 1st attempt Purolator will leave an on-site note and/or will make contact via the phone number attached to your order. The driver takes the package back to the depot where it was originally sent from (for up to 5 days) and awaits further instructions from the customer. Orders that are not retrieved in good time are sent back to the Tintex plant.

      Why do I have to order so much product now? 
      Our store has changed and now every order receives free shipping. At this time smaller orders that are below the minimum are no longer accepted. To get greater value you may take advantage of bulk sizes or order for a few people at once. Tintex is available at Canadian stores or other online selling sites that have different assortments of products or delivery policies.

      Can I add to an order that has already been placed?
      We are unable to add more products to past orders that have already been processed, packed and shipped. If you decide to order more products you will need to place a new order. Shipping for each new order is calculated separately. 

      Can I change the products after my order has already been processed?
      If you decide you want to get different Tintex products you will most likely need to place a new order. Requests to alter original orders are not always possible, especially after an order has already been processed and packed. Shipping for each new order is calculated separately.

      Where can I buy Tintex at retail stores? 
      Tintex products are found in the laundry, craft or shoe polish areas of drug, dollar and grocery stores throughout Canada. The assortment of Tintex products (laundry aids vs. fabric dye colours) may vary depending on the store in question. Some stores are independently owned (example: Home Hardware) and may not have the same selection. At this time we do not email store stock or locations.
